Privacy Policy

Information We Collect
When you interact with Breen Photo, we may collect the following information:
- Name, email address, and phone number (provided via our contact form, model signup form, or pre-order form)
- Information about your dog (breed, age, name, etc.)
- Photos you upload through our forms
- SMS opt-in status — recorded only when you actively check the SMS consent checkbox on a form (see SMS/Text Messaging below)
- Anonymous usage data collected through Google Analytics (such as pages visited, time on site, and general location)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and messages
- Schedule and coordinate photography sessions
- Send SMS notifications about events, sessions, and model calls
- Send email communications related to your inquiry or session
- Improve our website and services
SMS/Text Messaging
SMS communications from Breen Photo are opt-in only. We never send text messages without your explicit consent. To receive SMS messages, you must (1) provide your phone number and (2) actively check the SMS consent checkbox on the contact form, model signup form, or pre-order form. The checkbox is unchecked by default — simply submitting a form with your phone number does not opt you in. Phone numbers provided without checking the consent box are used only for callback purposes related to your inquiry, never for SMS.
Once opted in, you may receive SMS messages from Breen Photo related to your inquiry, session updates, event notifications, model program invitations, and pre-order/gallery readiness. Message frequency varies but is typically 1–4 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS data is shared only with our messaging service provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of message delivery.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact .
Email Communications
We send two distinct kinds of email, and they're treated differently. The kind of email determines whether your unsubscribe preference applies.
Transactional Email
Tied to an active engagement — a booking, a gallery being prepared for you, an invoice, a contract awaiting your signature, or a form you submitted. Examples:
- Pre-order, deposit, and payment confirmations
- Invoice delivery and payment reminders
- Gallery-ready notifications
- Contract delivery and signature receipts
- Session confirmations and reminders
- Form submission auto-replies (contact form, model signup, gallery request)
Transactional emails are part of the service you signed up for. Under U.S. CAN-SPAM (and analogous laws in other jurisdictions), they are exempt from the marketing unsubscribe and continue regardless of marketing preference. We send them only to people with an active relationship with us.
Marketing Email
Includes blog announcements, event and adventure invitations, occasional promotional notes, and any periodic re-permission emails. We send marketing email only to people who have explicitly opted in (e.g. by checking a box on a form) or who have an existing relationship with us that grants implied consent under CAN-SPAM.
Every marketing email we send includes:
- A one-click unsubscribe link in the body
- A
List-Unsubscribeemail header so Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, and other modern clients can render their own native unsubscribe button at the top of the message (RFC 8058) - Our physical mailing address
To unsubscribe at any time, click the link in the footer of any marketing email we’ve sent you. Modern email clients also expose a native “Unsubscribe” button at the top of the message that uses the same mechanism. You may also reply to any of our emails with the word “unsubscribe” and we will handle the request manually.
Unsubscribing only stops marketing email. Transactional email continues, as described above, so you don’t lose access to anything you’ve actively engaged with us for. If you also want to stop transactional email tied to an active engagement, please contact us directly — we’ll work out what to do on a case-by-case basis.
Business Outreach
We sometimes email pet-industry businesses (veterinarians, groomers, trainers, daycares, shelters and rescues, and similar) within our service area to introduce ourselves and explore partnership opportunities. These emails follow the same rules as marketing email: each one includes a one-click opt-out link in the footer, the same List-Unsubscribe header, and our physical mailing address. If you receive an outreach email and prefer not to hear from us, click the link or reply with “unsubscribe” and we will suppress your address from future outreach.
Email Tracking
Our email delivery provider, SendGrid (a Twilio Inc. company), records standard delivery telemetry on our behalf: whether the email was delivered, whether it bounced, whether the recipient opened it, and whether links inside the email were clicked. We use this data exclusively to:
- Keep our subscriber list clean — hard bounces and spam complaints are automatically suppressed and the recipient is excluded from future sends
- Identify deliverability issues affecting individual recipients
- Decide which subscriber segments should be emailed less frequently
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share this telemetry. SendGrid’s privacy practices are documented at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
Our Mailing Address
For CAN-SPAM purposes, our physical mailing address is:
PO Box 212
Harriman, NY 10926-0212
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Specifically, mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. We use third-party services that process data on our behalf, strictly to deliver our service:
- Google Analytics — anonymous website usage data
- Twilio — SMS message delivery (mobile number shared only for the purpose of sending you the SMS messages you opted into)
- SendGrid (Twilio) — email delivery and delivery-event tracking (see Email Communications above)
- ShootProof — gallery hosting, customer contact records, and invoicing
